Head Roll

The body is standing with the arms, shoulders and fingers relaxed by the side. The muscles of the abdomen should be relaxed and the eyes closed. With a sense of inner concentration begin to allow the head to roll in a circle around the base of the neck. Let the neck muscles stretch as you rotate the head very slowly. Y-49 The Spinal Twist

Sit with your left heel tucked inside underneath your buttocks and the left knee facing straight out in front of you on the floor. Bring the right foot over to the left side of the bent knee. Stretch the left arm over the upward bent right leg and place the arm parallel to the leg with the hand against the ankle. Bring your right arm around behind you, placing it across the small of the back. Twist your torso, neck, and head to the right as much as possible, keeping the back vertical to the floor. It is best if you can learn the exercises which are recommended for your specific self-therapy from an experienced yoga instructor. He or she will be able to guide you in the rate, rhythm and duration of each movement. Any mistaken or ineffective movements or positions will be corrected and you will get much more benefit from your exercises. This would require only one to eight visits (depending on your problem and experience in exercising) so that you can learn these exercises well. Then you can continue at home on your own, unless you prefer a class setting or would like to go beyond the self-therapy stage to the self-development and then the self-knowledge stages of your evolution. In that case it would be wise to find a recommended and responsible yoga center near you and proceed beyond self-therapy into self-transformation.
